Some thoughts about what happened this year.

It has been a very busy and interesting year for #Edinburgh School of #Icon #Painting.
I feel like the project came a very long way form where it started. Beginning just with a few students. People who where interested in icon painting for various reasons. Each of all very special and meaningful. It looks like art could be something more then we think. In our lives and in lives of people we need. I as a teacher am constantly learning how to introduce and share this beautiful world with students.

I`m growing to believe that we all have that something inside us waiting to get outside. The ability to express our spiritual site in art. And #iconography is a perfect choice if you looking for something deeper and peaceful in your life.
I have seen people who have never done any art making their own drawing for icons they beautifully produced.

There is more to learn and explore.

International #Residential in Wetlina, Poland

Theme: Angels Michael and Raphael. We will be working on wooden panels. Using traditional technique of egg tempera.
All materials provided.

There are still spaces for this exciting opportunity.
I will be teaching at the residential design for less experience students. Even beginners.

Dates are
11 - 17 August
Place: Wetlina, Poland.
This workshop will be based in a small village in south-eastern Poland, close to nature. Perfect environment for icon painting.
We will be working till lunch time and then visiting local objects connected with icon. Especially old wooden churches.
Relaxing. Enjoying walks in nature. Spending time together.
